London - The Rubber in Engineering Group (RIEG) of the IoM3 has announced the programme for its next one-day conference on rubber materials.
The event, which is being run jointly with the IoM3’s Manchester Polymer Group, will take place 20 April at Lancashire County Cricket Club, Old Trafford, Manchester, UK.
Titled Rubber- a Resilient Future Part 2, the programme will feature:
- A keynote Paper from Birla Carbon updating delegates on the amendment to REACH Annex XVII strengthening the restriction of polycyclic-aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).
- Processing session covering heat reduction in intensive mixing, moulding cure time reduction and the combination of compound optimization and mix cycle evaluation to suit processing and product performance featuring speakers from TecExec, University Leoben and Clwyd Compounders.
- Speakers from 3M and Haydale covering two component systems and Graphene in the New Materials session followed by a new furnace black from Orion Carbon and recovered carbon black from carbon clean tech.
- Carbon Black will also focus in a presentation from Queen Mary University of London covering flocculation. Hubron Speciality will also be proposing a solution to new regulations.
Attendance costs £40 for members of IoM3 & £80 for non-members. Students and apprentices can attend free of charge. This event is sponsored by Birla Carbon and 3M.
