Montebello, California — Aircraft tire distributor and retreader Desser Tire & Rubber Co. LLC has acquired Watts Aviation of Gloucestershire, UK, which Desser described as “Europe’s leading aircraft tire distributor.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Watts distributes a broad range of tires and tubes for aviation as an authorized distributor for major tire brands, according to Desser.
The acquisition “enhances Desser’s global footprint and further solidifies Desser’s commitment to being a global leader in specialty aerospace distribution,” the Montebello-based company said, as well as provide the opportunity to win new customers as a result of its extended geographical reach.
Desser has a second US distribution centre in Memphis.
