Brussels – Kumho Tire Europe has appointed Charles Kim as its president, Kumho, the Korean company has announced.
Kim, who served as the company’s European director of marketing from mid-2011 to the end of 2012, took up his new post on 2 March.
Kim has been a Kumho employee for some 24 years, starting, for the first five years, in his native Korea.
He has also worked in Kumho’s Australian operation as well as North American business. In early 2013 he moved to Vietnam, where he was responsible for planning, finance, human resources and sales at Kumho’s ultra-modern tire plant.
Under Kim’s leadership, Kumho expects to see an accelerated development of its sales and marketing operations in the key European markets, as well as important business areas such as OE supply.
