Geneva, Switzerland – Bridgestone has put on display a number of its innovative tires and concept tires at the Geneva Motor Show, currently held in the Swiss city.
Ecopia EP500 ologic tire, which is an exclusive fitment on the BMW i3 electric car, is at the Bridgestone stand to display the company’s “ologic technology”.
The technology uses the synergies of a large tire diameter and narrow tread design to provide important efficiencies in aerodynamics and rolling resistance, while delivering good grip performance.
Apart from its run-flat tires, the Japanese firm has also displayed its AirFree concept tire. This, said Bridgestone, aims to provide “a low-maintenance and fully sustainable “cradle to cradle” solution, which also maximises the recycling of worn tires and other resources.”
