Shandong, China - Mesnac has finished the development of a new giant OTR radial tire building machinery, according to local reports earlier this year. The development was hailed as a 'first' for Chinese machinery manufacturers.
After four years of development jointly conducted with US equipment maker Wyko Tire Technology, Mesnac innovated two-stage building with 'breakthroughs' in moulding drum and turn-up and pushover bladders, says the reports.
The new machinery is able to produce 57- to 63-inch tires with 10,000-hour lifespan, higher than the 3,000-hour average lifespan for domestic giant tires and 9,000-hour average for overseas ones.
The equipment is said to cost between one third and two third less than similar machinery of overseas manufacturers.
