Detroit, Michigan - General Motors is recalling 5,876 of certain models of its cars produced between December 2014 and mid-January 2015 due to faulty tires.
The models include 2015 Buick Enclave; 2015 Chevrolet Traverse and 2015 GMC Acadia vehicles all equipped with Goodyear P255/65R18 Fortera HL tires.
According to the US National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) the vehicles are equipped with tires that may experience tread cracking.
If the tire treads crack, said NHTSA, a loss of tire pressure and possible tire failure may result, increasing the risk of a crash.
