TTE: Chem-Trend rolls out silicone-free tire paints
Cologne, Germany – Chem-Trend is introducing three new silicone-free water-based paints for inside tires at the Tire Technology Expo in Cologne, held on 10-12 Feb.
According to the chemical company, the new paint will save manufacturers time and money by simplifying the downstream cleaning required on some tires.
These new products, it said, allow manufacturers to efficiently introduce new product innovation and eliminate aggressive cleaning chemicals.
"The new line of products represent three categories of inside tire paints used in the process of curing tires: Unfilled inside tire paint; filled inside tire paint and durable unfilled tire paint," the company added.
Although not based on silicone chemistry, the new products provide a level of slip and release that tire manufacturers require to ensure low defect levels, concluded Chem-Trend.
