Houston, Texas. — Comar Chemicals Pty has joined the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) following its election to the group as an affiliate member.
Headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa with additional manufacturing operations in Basel, Switzerland, Comar Chemicals supplies neodymium-based catalysts to the synthetic rubber industry.
The company has designated Diego German Roland as its IISRP liaison representative and Udo-Eric Eichrodt as his alternate.
“We are pleased to announce the membership of our first South African Affiliate, Comer Chemicals Pty.”, stated James McGraw, managing director and CEO of the IISRP, in a 26 Dec announcement.
According to information on its website, Comar Chemicals manufactures catalysts for the production of polybutadiene rubber, as well as other metal carboxylates for applications such as paint driers, polyester accelerators, and lubricant additives.
Recent product developments include cobalt rubber adhesion promoters and nano-particle chemicals.
The company has two manufacturing plants, one situated in Atlantis near Cape Town, South Africa, and its new plant, in the Infrapark Baselland, Muttenz, Switzerland.
Comar Chemicals lists its current manufacturing capacity for metal carboxylates at around 250 tonnes per month.
