GHX Industrial takes over subsea hose fitting firm

Houston, Texas - Houston-based GHX Industrial LLC, a subsidiary of United Distribution Group, announced on 2 Jan that it had acquired the operations and assets of Hose & Fittings Inc, also based in Houston.

Hose & Fittings Inc. is a fabricating distributor and supplier to oilfield companies and OEMs with offshore and subsea operations whose primary market is offshore drilling and production.

According to Richard Harrison, president of GHX Industrial, HFI will operate under the GHX name and will now be in position to offer a greater depth of products and services to existing and new customers.

“Current and expanded product offerings include notable brands such as Eaton, Spir Star, Parker Hannifin and Dixon Valve & Coupling,” the report added.

Details of the cost of the acquisition was not disclosed in the press release.

The new acquisition shortly followed GHX’s November takeover of Decatur, Alabama-based Specialty Rubber & Gasket.

The move was expected to expand GHX’s business throughout the US and Canada.
