Major reshuffle at Toyo Tire

Osaka, Japan – Toyo Tire and Rubber Co. Ltd. has announced that a major reshuffle across the group, effective 1 Jan.

According to a press release on 4 Dec, the former head of the company’s central research centre and production engineering, Kazuyuki Ito will now see over the tire production division, the central research centre as well as the technology department of the company.

In addition to that, Haruhiro Shinso will take over as the president of Wuxi Toyo-Meifeng Rubber Products Co Ltd, and no longer serve as the group executive officer.

Sadao Ichihara will be promoted to senior corporate offer and group executive offer, DT business and general manager, chemical and industrial products business unit. He currently holds the role of corporate officer and deputy group executive officer, DT business.

Among many corporate changes, the tire division will go through a structural change too. According to the press release, the tire logistic department, under the direct control of Tire Business Group headquarters, will be transferred to the tire planning division, Tire Business Group headquarters, effective 1 Jan.
