BASF raising prices for antioxidants by up to 35%
Global hike includes additives used in rubber applications
Ludwigshafen, Germany - Chemical maker BASF has announced a global price rise for antioxidants used in 'plastic' applications,
Effective immediately, the increase covers Irganox 1076, Irgano PS 802 and related blends in its additives portfolio by up to 35%.
The price adjustment is in response to the significantly higher cost for stearyl alcohol and logistics, said BASF's 7 March statement.
The price increase "also applies to the use of these additives in elastomer/rubber applications," a BASF spokeswoman confirmed to ERJ.
