Linatex Corp. to acquire Durex Products Inc.

Malaysia -- Linatex Corp. has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Durex Products Inc, the supplier of heavy duty industrial lining systems.

Following completion of the transaction, Durex become fully integrated within Linatex and together both companies will offer customers a comprehensive range of products, services, and solutions for materials processing in hard rock mining, sand, and aggregates, said Linatex, in a 7 Nov statement.

“Durex and Linatex have a natural fit,” said said Greg Caddle, president of Linatex, in the statement. “The customised solutions from Durex provide the industry with a refreshing approach that allows the execution of best screening and wear solutions that solve customers' unique material processing need,” he added.

According to Linatex the “this is an exciting opportunity to bring the best of both businesses together. Together the two companies enjoy financial stability globally,” said the statement.

Corporation of America, a joint team with representatives of both companies will be working through the implementation of a combined manufacturing, sales and support business, said the statement.

Linatex is a supplier of natural rubber for use in abrasive wear environments.

Durex Products provide a choice of wire cloth; urethane and rubber screening media, as well as urethane and rubber wear parts.
