Former Goodyear Dunlop manager Wachter to lead HF TireTech Group

Hamburg, Germany – Markus Wachter has been appointed executive vice president of HF TireTech Group's Extrusion and Tire Building Machinery business units, which were recently merged into a single organisational unit, Hamburg-based HF has announced.
Wachter, who started his new role on 1 March, has held a number of management positions within the Goodyear Dunlop over the past 20 years. He has a background in engineering, as well as in factory planning and organisation.
Starting in 2006, Wachter was plant manager / manufacturing director in the tire plants in Wittlich Germany, Amiens South, France, and most recently in Fürstenwalde, Germany.
The 45-year old, said HF, has “an excellent network within the tire industry and has acquired extensive international and intercultural knowledge through his many years of experience.”
In the press announcement issued 19 April, HF Tire Tech group's managing directors, Guenter Simon and Jens Beutelspacher said: "We are happy, with Markus Wachter, to have gained a proven expert in the production of ultra-high performance tires.
"His managerial skills, which he has acquired in a number of different stages throughout his career, as well as his wealth of experience, will ensure that our successful growth in the Extrusion Technology and Tire Building Machinery business units continues."
